Growing Bump

So I haven't been great at tracking weekly progress by any means, but here are a few random ones to (mostly from when I particularly liked my outfit, or someone specifically requested a pic) to show that B.P is actually growing, and so am I.

Bump-ish

So in the last week my tummy has gone from looking ambiguously bloated to looking actually pregnant, which is weird, but cool. However, I'm still going to have to get used to people wanting to touch it 😆haha. I also started wearing maternity pants, and they are crazy comfortable! I honestly don't know why I didn't buy some sooner.

Eddie, as always, was right there to join in on the photo shoot 😜

We're having a BOY!

Today was the 20 week ultrasound. I was super excited, but also pretty anxious going in. I'm not really showing all that much, nor have I been able to feel any movement yet, so I was nervous that BP wasn't as large or developed as he should be. Luckily, my fears were unfounded. That kid is a fighter! I already knew from several dopplers that he didn't enjoy being prodded at (he always rolled away, and at one point kicked it directly), but it was really funny to watch him react on the ultrasound. The tech was able to get all of his measurements, but not without a major effort on her part. Practically anytime she would try to get a view of his face, he would cover it with one or both hands. He also kept kicking, rolling, and crossing and uncrossing his legs, so gender was the last thing we found out. Since he was so active, we weren't able to get a photo of him in his entirety, he was just moving too much. Therefore, I have included some random shots they were able to get. He apparently is not a fan of paparazzi, hopefully he'll learn to accept being photographed when he arrives. If not, apologies in advance grandparents 😉

Ch Ch Ch Changes....

With Baby Prewitt (BP) arriving in a few short months, some changes needed to be made to our house to accommodate the little dude/dudette. Beds needed to be moved to new rooms, to free up the nursery, and all the fun started in the basement storage spaces. This is what I came home to one Saturday after work. 😮 Casey had been very busy.

Casey pulled everything we had in storage out so we could sort it:

Even Eddie helped 😄

We ended up rebuilding some shelves inside the "cupboard under the stairs" storage space.
(That's a Harry Potter reference for all of you Muggles out there 😆)

Basement Junk Room/ Office before and after:

Orange guest room is now a nice mellow gray and we moved the queen size bed into it. (Disregard the purple curtains, it is still a work in progress)

The dark blue guest room has now been primed and is ready to be painted as the nursery once we find out if BP is a boy or girl. We will post a complete nursery picture once we get further along.

Huge thank you to Bryan and Tammy for all of the hard work they put in prepping and painting. We are so thankful and excited with the results!

Boy or Girl?

My 20 week ultrasound is coming up on February 20. If everything goes according to plan, we should be able to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. To pass the time, I'm adding a poll to the blog so you can vote on what you think we're having. Note- no actual prizes will be awarded if you guess correctly, but you will get mad bragging rights :)  Vote away...

Why Start a Blog?

So admittedly, I don't check facebook very much, let alone post anything more than a few times each year. While Casey still technically has a facebook account, I'm pretty sure he has not logged in since roughly 2011... so he definitely doesn't have an "active presence" on social media either.  I also like the idea of scrap booking, in theory, but when it comes down to actually printing out pictures and creating one, my innate laziness always wins out, and nothing gets accomplished. We realize, however, that soon our lives will become vastly more interesting to others in the family thanks to the the arrival of baby Prewitt in July, so we figured we needed to start a way of sharing updates in a timely manner. Enter the creation of the Adventures in Prewitt-ing blog! Inspired by my sister's family blog,  House of Kerrs, I figured I'd try my hand at blogging too, since it is more private than facebook and will also serve as a digital scrapbook of our lives- win-win! So welcome to the blog everyone, we hope you enjoy it :)
